The newly developed separator safely drains urine even in extreme inclined positions, for example on a sailing boat with a strong heel. The flap to the solids tank is pressed against a silicone seal when closing, thus sealing the solids container. Urine that hits the closed valve is directed into the urine drain. The new Air Head is the first composting toilet to feature an odour trap in the urine drain.
